Deputy PM Denies Stealing the Show from PM

Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung has thanked the Thai press for disclosing information about a major narcotics manufacturing plant in Laos.

The deputy premier also denies he has been trying to overshadow Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung thanked the Thai press for the information about a major narcotics manufacturing plant in a special administrative region in Laos.

As a result of the report, the Laotian anti-narcotics authority raided the plant and seized more than two containers of drugs with the total value of more than 50 million baht.

The deputy premier also admitted that at least six Thai nationals were involved in the drug ring.

According to Chalerm, the six individuals have already been identified by police.

The deputy prime minister has tasked deputy police chief Police General Panupong Singhara Na Ayuthaya to head the investigation.

Chalerm denied any national-level politicians are involved in the narcotics ring.

He vowed that those involved will be brought to justice no matter how powerful or well-connected they may be.

Regarding a recent opinion poll showing that he is the most active Cabinet member compared to the premier, Chalerm said he has no intention to overstep Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's authority nor aims to overshadow her as the leader of the government.

All governments need a star, a showman or a ringmaster and Deputy P.M. Chalerm is proving to be first class in his role.

He's a real wise-cracking,shoot from the lip spokesman. No holds barred. Hes da main man.

He plays it off against coy, demure P.M. Yingluck who is happy to let him absorb the heat from the spotlights.

He's a snappy dresser and has a great relationship with his razor and has great taste in cars.

He's not stealing the show he's just borrowing it until Superman returns in the near future.

Sometimes in days gone by the court jesters were found wanting and thus their contracts were terminated as were the jesters..rolleyes.gif

Chalerm hasn't stolen the show, it's merely been temporarily delegated to him, by Dear Leader & Poster Girl !

Why as a professional politician and former police captain is he so wealthy as he doesn't appear to have had a proper job.
