Many See PM Yingluck As Right On The Number

Many see PM as right on the number

THE NATION

The prime minister's family receive many letters from strangers, most seeking winning lottery numbers and asking for money, according to her husband.

Anusorn Amornchat, common-law husband of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, said yesterday many people wrote to ask for two-digit and three-digit winning numbers in the belief the prime minister could secretly influence the lottery results.

They would appear to have good reason for holding such a belief after some recent winning numbers were associated with the prime minister. Once the winning two-digit number was 28, Yingluck's number as Thailand's prime minister. On two other occasions, the licence numbers of her cars were part of the winning lottery numbers.

The results of the underground lottery, popular among many Thais, are based on two and three last digits of the government lottery's first prize, as well as the two and three last digit prizes.

"We can't lock up the lottery results, otherwise we would have been richer," Anusorn said with a smile.

He said many letters sent to the family home were also addressed to him and "Nong Pipe", his and Yingluck's only son. The letters petitioned and sought assistance on many issues, including financial help.

Anusorn gave the rare media interview while at Government House yesterday afternoon to chair a meeting of spouses of Cabinet members.

He said Yingluck sometimes complained about the hard work of serving as prime minister, particularly when there were hard-pressed issues that required a decision with a limited amount of information.

When asked what he would do to help her, the hubby responded: "I can provide her with some advice, but only at home."

Complain about the work that she wants people to trust her with?

So are the "many" letters from those who believe she is "lucky" or corrupt?

Yeah, those "pressing issues" take all the fun out of being PM.

I expect similar articles in the US when Sarah Palin becomes president... :D :D

particularly when there were hard-pressed issues that required a decision with a limited amount of information.

information or intelligence...

Hang on a moment, wasn't it the lottery people who managed the selection of numbers for the voting-slips, and got PTP & the fragrant Ms Yingluck, the Lucky Number-1, although 2 (fingers) or 3 (apparent PMs) might have been more appropriate ? <_<

Perhaps the nickname 'Lady Luck' might be more suitable ?

The people believe she is corrupt.
