Cm Immigration - Parking

Went to Immigration yesterday to pick up a couple forms. Noticed the parking next door was no longer being allowed as the gate was shut and cars were parked at the gate as well as in the No Parking area along side the road.

Anyone know when this occurred and is it a permanent thing?

Sad if it's a permanent thing because even with that area open parking was still inadequate. (my opinion)

I went there on the 27th and noticed it closed also. My secretary dropped me off as I was pretty sure there would be a parking problem. She parked in a lot directly across the street from the immigration office with no problems. Perhaps that department got into a tiff with immigration regarding parking. I wonder how everyone else who works at that building get in?

Its a total cockup at the immigration .In Jomtien/Pattaya its much more pleasent and effecient .

Do a u-turn then drive into the big parking area behind the vegetarian restaurant which is directly opposite the entrance to Immigration.

Or park at Airport Plaza, walk down to Immigration and do some shopping or see your movie when you return to Airport Plaza to get your car.

agreed, or even the outskirts of CNX parking areas. I know it's not far, because I have walked from the airport to The Mall for Yellow Taxi, many times. Reminds me of the people, who insist on parking close to the Sunday Walking Street Market--it only worsens traffic for everyone and increases the chances of accidents.

What time does this car park open? Many people need to be in Immigration by 7am to get a number for the queue. I imagine the shopping mall's car park may open a little later, but good to know if it is open by 7am.

Oh, good point. I doubt it's much before 9 or 9:30 to accomodate the workers who come into Tops, which opens at 10 am, an hour ahead of the mall. I don't have a car, but I've been to Tops right at 10 am and you have to walk thru the parking area and go into the employee entrance near the Tops store to gain entry. Actually shopping at Tops at 10 am isn't much fun. They may claim to be open for business, but they're really busy restocking and not everything is ready.

But, it's a great option for 90 day report parking.
