Best Place For Holiday Away From The Floods

Featured Replies

I'm planning to go on holiday (in Thailand) next week. We're told that Bangkok is expecting some flooding next week but what about the main holiday spots around the country? Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, Koh Chang. Are all these places expected to escape the floods or may there be problems?

Just to clarify, I live in Bangkok and I'm looking for a one week getaway.

In general, the farther south you go in Thailand, the rainier it is. But, their rainy season comes later than in the rest of the country.

Phuket is holding up. You might find a few packages (air & hotel) to your liking.Karon usually has something available, or better yet, check out the Centara website as they sometimes offer an attractive deal and their facilities are in all the beach destinations. Plus, you can experience a safe and friendly tuk tuk ride. :whistling:

No Flood in Chiang Mai. The last one last only a few days.
