Hi Everyone

I have the following dates in my passport, but not sure what should and should not do, could anyone kindly please guide me.?

I'm slow on these visa thingy, so i would appreciate it if you could put down the dates along the illustration.

Here are the dates:

A stamp on my passport with dates : Admitted 12 Oct 2011 until 10 Dec 2011.

On the visa page : Enter before 10 Jan 2012.

Thank you so much in anticipation.

It is simpel.

You have a double entry tourist visa. meaning you can use it to enter Thailand two times, during the time the visa is valid: 10 jan. 2012.

You made your first entry and can now stay until, 10 Dec. 2011. At that date you need to leave the country and can right back. You can re-enter again for another 60 days if you reenter Thailand before 10 Jan 2012.

Note that you can ask immigration for an extension of stay of 30 days on each entry. So your stay till 10 Dec. can be extended untill 9 Jan for 1,900 baht. On 9 Jan you have to leave the country and come right back in, as after the date your visa becomes invalid you can no longer use it to enter. If you enetr on Jan. 9 you get a new 60 days and can also extend this with another 30 days.

You received a normal 60 day tourist visa entry and must extend 30 days before 10 December if you want max time or just make a new entry before then for a new 60 day stay. If you extend on December 7 you will receive 30 extra days (until 9 January I suspect) and you can then make a new entry before January 10 to get a new 60 day stay and can then extend that stay for 30 days. Extension of stay requires copy of passport/visa/arrival stamp/arrival card and filled out TM.7 with 4x6cm photo and payment of 1,900 baht at local Immigration office.

Hi Guys

Thank you so much for your responses.

I met a Farang who claimed that he has been staying in Bangkok near 20 years. He told me, I'll have to leave BKK on or before 10 Dec 2011, then enter to get the 60 days. After this 60 days, i can go for an extension of 30 days, and that's it. (total 5 mths only)

He said, if i went for the 30-day extension in Dec 2011, i'll stay for another 30 days and my visa will be finished, i'll not get the 2nd 60-days after this extension.

So..i am really confused.....

As long as you exit/return before the expiration date (use before) on your two entry visa you will receive a new 60 day stay stamp. You are never required to stay the full 30 extra days so there is no reason for your friend to say that. Suspect he thinks your total stay to be beyond expiration date of your visa.

Does it mean I can and must do the border-run before 10 Jan 2012 in order to get the 2nd 60-day visa?

Sorry, i am back again.

Just wanted to double-confirmed one thing :

Does it mean in my case, all in all i'm allowed to stay in BKK until April 2012 ?

If you follow the plan and enter 2nd time (after 30 day extension of current entry) just before 10 Jan that is what will be allowed - last entry will be 60 days and you can extend that another 30 days.
