Given that no one "owns" them, and the streets are flooded, usual sources of food has departed with the residents, where are they all going? Potential for a lot of problems there, with packs of hungry dogs roaming around.

I love dogs, and have two mutts. Recently a neighbor adopted something like 5 or 6 dogs that make one hell of a racket at all hours of the day. Right now it is still dry here, but we are expecting water to arrive today. If those dogs were to drown or disappear I would be a liar if I were to say I would not be pleased to hear that.

You might love YOUR dogs, but it seems as if you'd happily see your neighbour's drown...................

Isn't this a sort of paradox?

Down in Nakhon Sawan a man got his wife and children to high ground and went off to help a neighbour (whose house was in more imminent danger) move his 4 dogs. Needless to say his own 2 dogs were left barking, in a panic.

When he got back for them, "just in time" so to speak, he found that a neighbour had smashed their heads in and left them floating in his living room.

Surely, no "dog lover" would approve of that, hmmmm????????

One reminder :

Soi dogs are put in the streets by people.

Ask SCALD and they will explain that most soi dogs are actually "owned" by people. It's just the Thai way of having pets - ie out on the streets and throwing them an odd bone every now and then.

So stop putting the blame on the animals pls.

There is a post in the plants and pets forum asking for help. 'Helping the Helpless'. As far as I am aware, Soi Dogs on Phuket have been informed also.

As to the asshol_e who stove the two dogs heads in, please let me have his address and I will arrange to stove his in.

Shitting in other peoples driveway, pissing on the neighbours cars, sabai sabai. :bah:

THEY'RE DOGS! <deleted>. Go live in Switzerland or somewhere like. What the hell are you doing here? Your type of farang. Constantly whinging, griping, moaning about the way things are here. In this case, er, DOGS shitting (yes, and I have seen Bangkok Thais actually pick up their pets excrement and dispose of it), and er, PISSING. <deleted>? G.O. H.O.M.E. 'Payboy' (bet you have to) Ha! Where I'm sure you will not see a dog turd anywhere. Diktete!

Sometimes the locals rile me, but not nearly as much as a lot of the farang dross that washes up on these shores. And that goes for the smug <deleted> complaining about his 'kiddies' (God, he bred ...) having to play in THE SOIS amidst, no wait, not the traffic, but the occasional dog dump. I loathe you all.

Hey, nice to see you are so assimilated in to the Thai culture that even the dog turd here is better than "back home".

Sure thing, I pay for it. Did you marry that bitch? More power to you man. ;)

For anyone who is genuinely interested about what is happening to the animals, pls visit the facebook pages or websites of SCAD and Soi Dog Foundation Phuket. They and many other small groups in bangkok are working tirelessly to rescue these animals, take them to shelters, feed and provide medical treatment until such a time when they can be returned to their owners and the streets they came from, and yes they plan to neuter / castrate as many as possible before they return them. So please if you are an animal lover, make a donation to help them out, the more they can neuter will make for a better living environment in the future for people and the animals.

Thanks for that reply. That is what I was hoping to find out.
