Phoned my missus this afternoon whilst she was waiting for her bus to Kalasin. She told me that she had never seen so many people at the bus station before, including the run up to festival time.Seems like many people are getting out while they can.

Best wishes to all those that are suffering in and around the capital and also to all those who are dependent on the money earned by family members working in BKK.

the capital is in panic now and you will know in the next 24-48 hours. On the way home around 9pm I went to Tesco and Big C both were deserted and you could not even get toilet tissue, I have never seen it so quiet or low on stock. There is no reason to stay unless you are still working (we still have clients for houses, strangely) or have a house that you want to protect.

Very strange feeling / time in Bangkok right now.

at Ekamai yesterday it was pretty quiet and buses left only half full. These things do not last for weeks, as panicking TV posters often try to make it seem as such. Major prob seems now that Mochit and that area is quite pronbe to flooding soon-it is rumoured Sai Thai will then take over-most rerouted buses pass it or closeby anyway already
