What was your job (profession) when you moved to Thailand
When I started teaching in Burma around 2012, I found that the best hotel in Yangon (Trader's Hotel), was fully booked up by staff from Oxfam, Save The Children etc,who would occasionally pop out in their brand new, 4-wheel drive off-road landrovers to visit the local markets. In disgust, and unwilling to donate any money to them I established my own (miniscule) educational charity in Burma, where every penny/cent/yen etc is used for the benefit of young students). -

I accept he was probably looking at something to do with women, but was it porn? These silly days even Playboy centerfolds were classified as "porn" by the wokistas. Porn is actually banned in Thailand, so it could just have been a bit of erotica, and the easily offended assumed it was porn- if he had a pillow on his lap it might help their case, but if not, likely they are talking rubbish. -

There would be a long line of reformed smokers who would agree even moreso hey, and the amputees too. Years ago I visited a dear old mate in acute aged care hospital with emphasema and he barely had the energy to cough. EXTREMELY disturbing to watch.😭 He stank of cigaretes and had to go outside to smoke and they had previously resuscitated him 5 times but he then declared a DNR, Do Not Resuscitate. I said my goodbyes. He died a week later. But; punishing cigarette addicts heavily with fines for smoking where they shouldt, is a more civilized response than the proposal.. Hope at least some smokers have taken note of the 5 pages so far, and my above encounter. Smoking is a very sad, sick, annoying, deadly, adicted scenario. -

Thai Fraudulent Tour Company Scams Over 150, Investigation Underway
Over 10 victims have recently lodged complaints with Thai authorities, accusing two individuals of orchestrating a sophisticated scam under the guise of a legitimate tour company. The company deceptively offered both overseas employment opportunities and travel packages, luring in unsuspecting clients via social media. One such victim shared her unfortunate experience, recounting how she paid over 60,000 baht for a tour to Japan. The company had established credibility through an active online presence and seemingly positive reviews. However, as the departure date approached, all lines of communication with the company went dead. Months later, she discovered the unsettling truth: her money had purportedly been used to purchase tours from another provider, only to encounter unspecified issues. The president of the Santi Prachatham Association provided further alarming insights, naming the two individuals as serial scammers. Their fraudulent activities allegedly span mushroom farm investments, employment opportunities in England, and these Japanese tours. In total, they have defrauded over 150 victims, accumulating a staggering 20 million baht. The victims are now rallying together, gathering evidence to aid the police in investigating charges of fraud and breaches in consumer protection laws. Authorities suspect that the scammers have fled the country, making their capture and the return of the defrauded funds an urgent cross-border matter. As I've been saying. If she was the anointed one from above, she should be miles and miles ahead, and Trump should be eating dust, but he's not. If she can't do better during the honey moon phase, she is, IMO, severely struggling to tread water. Once the honeymoon is over, if she does not win the debate convincingly, it's not good for her at all. Even a draw in the debate is not going to suffice. This now, IMO, is Trump's to lose, if he behaves himself in the debate. All he has to do is get a draw to win the prize.- 1
