Parking Your Bike At Border Points.

Featured Replies

I've taken my bike for a few border runs where it's straight in and out again within an hour or two. But that's it. I've never paid attention to actual secure parking where you can park your bike and leave it for a few days, while being safe in the knowledge that by the time you return it won't in some lad's workshop in a neighbouring country.

Do these immigration border points actually have secure parking for bikes where you pay your 40b a day or whatever, get a ticket, and when you present it again a few days later you'll actually get your bike back? Or is there usually only car parks where people leave their car without security?

Cheers.

btw, I'm looking at Mukdahan border crossing, for one, maybe two nights.

At the border crossing at Aranyhapratet they have two enclosed 24 hour motorbike parking places, they are staffed all night and it is about 40 baht for 24 hours yes.Just on your right before the border post i have left a bike there before for 3 days,no problem.
