sbk Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Lomprayah told us they won't be running the 8 a.m. cat to Samui from Phangan starting the 3rd of November and they will not be offering Bangkok trips either, hopefully this is just a low season/big wave schedule change as that early morning cat is extremely convenient for locals.
sbk Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 I should add that apparently they are also discontinuing the Nathon-Don Sak trip too.
samuijimmy Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 This sure is confusing Some one just told me the Lomprayah Ferries are running today and just checking their web site all seems to be bookable...(min 3 days advance) Also adding free hotel pickup and drop off promotion on Samui..... Perhaps they have continuing until the rains do come??? Check out Lomprayah here Also confusing is whether they are running from Maenam or Nanthon... guess I'll run down tomorrow and check!
samuijimmy Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) I just stopped by Lamprayah in Maenam, and everything apparently operating a normal... Ferries still leaving from Maenam terminal on Samui.... Actually I forgot to ask about the Donsak ferries... just read SBK's posts again, so that may need to be checked out! :jap: Edited November 10, 2011 by samuijimmy
sbk Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 I said they are discontinuing the 8 am boat to Samui, which stops at Nathon. I didn't say they were discontinuing the entire schedule. I also said they are discontinuing the Samui -Don Sak routes, which comes out of Nathon, there is a sign posted on the wall in Thai so you can ask but I can assure you thats what the sign says.
samuijimmy Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 There still is a Lomprayah ferry running from Tongsala, to Nanthon... early in the morning... I received a phone call this morning at 7 am to say "I am about to get on, can you pick me up?" I told the person to get a drop off ticket which is Free for Samui, at the moment! Which he did and saved me the drive. The Maenam ferry departure and arrival point I think is closed...for the time being.... The 12.30 pm ferry left from Nanthon. The phone number to check is 087 888 0769
