Head Burmese Monk Visits Samui

Featured Replies

I was invited along to the visit by the Head Burmese Monk in Chawang last night....(Religious things are not really my "cup of tea"!)

If you have Burmese workers dragging their feet this morning, this might be why!

I guessed perhaps 1000 to 1500 Burmese attended this (I was told there was more than that)....and supposedly more will attend this evening.... Some coming from KP and Koa Toa... All taken very seriously...

It finished at about 11.30 pm, by the time every one left it was well after midnight... well past my bed time!

Quite an event!.... :jap:
