PATTAYA: -- A man watched as his new car went up in flames only hours after buying it. Police and Fire Rescue Units were called to the Sukhumvit Road in Central Pattaya late on Monday night, to deal with a car fire. Reports came in that the car was powered by LPG; however the fire was in the engine compartment and not at the rear of the vehicle where the gas cylinder was situated. The unlucky owner of the White Toyota Corona, Khun Somport aged 32, told us he had travelled back from Panat Nikom in Chonburi where be purchased the car from and noticed smoke seeping through the dashboard as he entered Pattaya
