Pattaya On Bike

Featured Replies

Stupid questions I know... But I need to drive my bike to Pattaya tomorrow. Can someone kindly help...

Do I get to Sukhumvit and then follow the road east Bang Na Trad?

Does Sukhumvit just joint Bang Na Trad naturally or do you have to turn off somewhere to get the road to Pattaya (looked at maps and can't work it out)

Is Bang Na Trad a highway; can motorcycles go on this road; or do they go underneath the highway?

Many thanks for someone's help!

Easy as pie............... Get a map or try Google Maps. Bang Na Trad to Highway 7 after the Toll Road is the easiest way. Very enjoyable.

You can also go straight on Sukhumvit through Samut Prakarn which is a more quite road and more comfy ride; it will end shortly before Chonburi. If you wanna go Bang na trat you have to turn left on the skhumvit - bang na trat intersection which is shortly after Udom Suk BTS.

On Bang Na Trat motorcylces normally have to ride on the frontage road which is bad in shape. If you are on a bigger bike i would recommend to drive on the "main" road which is normally for cars only but better in shape. Therese a Bang na Trat Highway and Motorway up and down.... But i wouldn't ride on the Highway even thou no toll booth open nowadays.

Sukhumvit route to Pattaya may be flooded as it was a few weeks ago when we took it for a day trip. We had to turn back. I would recommend Bangna Trat to Highway 7.
