I have a 1 year Thai motorbike licence which expired in May 2009 and please would like to know what I would need to do to get a new one/replacement licence so that I can ride again on Thai roads please?

Do I have to go through all the test again or can I just swap my expired licence for a new one? I am on a Non O visa :)

Thank you kindly for your help it is much appreciated! :jap:

I believe after it's expired one year you have to start over. No renewal.

Same documents and procedure as when you originally got the licence.

There is a current topic running here detailing what was required at one office for a new licence.

You don't say where you are and every province DLT office seems to have different procedures so you will get all sorts of different answers.

IMO as for licenses 1year or 5year or renewal just along to your local DLT office and go through the motions, it's nothing to worry about.

Here's a direct link to go to for info and addresses :-
