Samoeng Strawberry Festival

Featured Replies

Does anyone know when in December this festival takes place?

I can't seem to find information on the net.

As I know ,normally in Samoeng they will have strawberry festival on February of every year.

Was in February this year

Was there to day and picked my on in the large farm. Great eating. Im whipping the cream now

Apart from the Royal Farm Project I have never had a decent tasting Strawberry in CM.

The ones sold along the Cannel road have been tasteless and same for the ones by the road into Mai Sai.

yes, would be nice to find strawberries again that were not picked two weeks early. not sure they are aware of the concept, having to wait until the fruit is ripe (unlike many Thai fruits). I have come along ripe strawberries so it can't just be that the climate is not suitable....

yep, the Samoeng strawberries are usually the 'hard' variety.

They sell two different types .The cheaper hard and tastless or the dearer softer ,sweeter type .It helps if you have a Thai speaker with you to get what you want .
