Chalerm Accused Of Staging 'Political Drama' To Distract Public

One thing you don't seem to realize is that the Democrats are not a national party, like PT for example. They cater only for a small part of the Bangkok electorate .

Since election-results prove these lies to be nothing more than propaganda I am hoping everyone can see exactly how badly informed some of these Red Shirt apologists are.

I am not a fan of many politicians here, but there is no excuse to make up things without any basis in reality. What is your excuse?

No excuses, just facts jap.gif

To call a party that clearly received the majority of their MP seats outside Bangkok as a party that 'cater only for a small part of the Bangkok electorate [and no-one else]' is ignorant in best case and an outright lie in worst.

Which one is it?

Why do you hate democracy? Coalition-governments are a very common thing and in many nations the preferred style of rule since it avoids big changes that might only be supported by a minority.

I don't hate democracy, I'm for functioning governments.

It's a bit difficult to explain, but if you study the evolution of various democratic governments in Europe, you will see they all went through the same phases.

The problem is not with PT, it's with the democrats who refuse to evolve to become a credible alternative.

The sooner people understand that, the better.

You better believe him, a few hundred North-East villagers and village head came to support Pol.Gen. Pracha and with help of some of those Pheu Thai UDD leader MP's they might be tempted to help those dastardly Dem's to 'educate' and 'evolve'

A faux pas when you have to wave the alma mater Cambridge T-shirt to shore up the junk. Bad show. Looks like you have progressed from Cambridge dons to the Thaksin don. Different events? Following a snail trail more like. Sniffy still indeed.

I understand why you feel so bruised and will try to take this into account in any future exchanges.

In the meantime quiet flows the don.

It's still a "democracy" here - now groups of more than 5 people can get together without fear of being arrested. I didn't hear any complaints from you when "thousands" of yellow shirts threatened to take to the streets recently.....................

You must have deleted the line where Rubl complained about the red shirts protesting, because I don't see it there.

Well thats probably because he doesn't directly (of course ) - instead he is implying that the north east villagers and village heads along with some red shirt Leader MP's have come down to Bangkok to "educate" and "evolve" the democrats here whatever that is supposed to mean - but wrt to the post he was referring to it means "threatening" the democrats even though they are doing no such thing. I just explained that a grouping of people like this is allowed under this government. The figure of "thousands" of yellow shirts should of course be taken with a pinch of salt. Does that help?

Since the book won the Stalin Prize, a movie remake with Thaksin as the leader of the downtrodden Cossacks is eagerly awaited.

I suggest in the meantime that if you want to play footsie with UK universities you do it off-thread rather than as a crutch in retreat on this one.

Not edifying.

Now you're just getting into conspiracy theories. How does his control of "internal security" mean that he knows what was going on within a department that his party wasn't even in charge of?

I'll go back to the original question to you. What do you really expect him to say? Whether he knows anything or not, there is nothing he could say that could please you or his detractors.

I'll give you an honest answer though I don't know for sure any more than you do.

It's hardly a conspiracy theory. It's a reasonable assumption that a Prime Minister like Abhisit with a grimy partner like BJT would want to keep a very close track of contracts being negotiated by ministries under control of Newin's proxies.Abhisit will have had access to the state's security services. It seems very likely that he would have been aware of any malfeasance. If he was completely innocent of any knowledge of how a major contract was being processed he is surely a fool (and we know he's not that).

One thing you don't seem to realize is that the Democrats are not a national party, like PT for example. They cater only for a small part of the Bangkok electorate .

Bangkok must be much bigger than I previously thought.

I wasn't aware that only a small part of it consisted of 164 parliamentary constituencies.

You seem to answer questions I didn't ask, maybe only raised or touched on with my tongue-in-cheek post.

A poster just says the problem is with democrats refusing to evolve in a topic on k. Chalerm accused of staging drama. I only mention that a few hundred North-East villagers came to support head FROC and Justice Minister Pol.Gen. Pracha (still wondering why since neither FROC nor k. Pracha had anything to do with (lack of) flooding in the North-East) and now I'm accuse of not saying anything when PAD threatened but did not stage protests (also not related to the topic).

Drama?

I'm implying that where a poster mentioned 'problem is with the democrats who refuse to evolve' the North-East villagers on a support trip for 'under fire' FROC head and justice minister Pol.Gen Pracha might have had the benifit of the red-shirt schools runs by Pheu Thai partylist MP and UDD leader Dr. weng and his wife Ms. Thida, and therefore might be of help to the democrats to educate and help evolve. As for the <any number> of PAD's who might but did not take the streets to protests 'secret cabinet decisions on a pardon k. Thaksin doesn't even want, who cares? They didn't take the streets, they're problably watching the drama unfold in parliament ;)

No need to dream up (with Wikipedia assistance?) self consciously "intellectual" replies just because you're dealing with me.I'm quite happy with plain speech.

What is it with Thaksin apologists and self-delusions? Maybe its a wannabe affliction.
