Jomtien Boathouse - Elvis Night

Featured Replies

I have my family coming over to stay for the holidays and thinking of having a night down here for the Elvis night, as it sounds like it could be a giggle.

Any feedback from anyone here would be appreciated.

Also, is the food good? Is it reasonably priced?

Thanks

Foods good. prices are OK.....but the elusive Elvis has never been in there when I was dining....probably left the building....

Other Elvis impersonators I have seen in Pattaya range from not bad to appalling. They all seem to suffer from the normal Thai pronunciation problems. So some of the lyrics suffer. I notice this with Filipino bands and singers also....

Monkey House Rock...not the same as the original version...Pom Mai mee Wooden Jai...Guitar Poo Chai....any one else know some more ?

Cheers wolfy. Lol, they have elvis night on mon and tue only. Captains corner at the bottom of thappraya road, right side, pattaya end, have elvis nights at the weekend, it may be the same guy.

We've been there a couple of times when 'Elvis' is on, if memory serves it's on a Wednesday, we eat there quite regularly as well, the food is good, prices ok and many chocolate desserts available, the 'Elvis' is good, it's all a bit of a tongue in cheek performance and very OTT but all good fun and makes for a cracking night, we also went when some of the family were over, good times.

Oopps, maybe not a Wednesday then!!

Captains corner & the Boathouse are owned by the same people so will be the same Elvis :ermm: , be aware though  its not the real Elvis! he died just a couple of years ago if I remember rightly... :whistling: seriously their impersonator died in quite tragic circumstances just a few years ago, obviously they have found a replacement.... ;)

Except that the BBQ buffet is lousy

The all you can eat buffet was sad. But probably the best they can afford to offer given the customer base. Not bad, but better value meals around town.

I remember the happy days when it was 250 baht.

Have to agree, the buffet is nothing like it used to be.

You have to have the correct mindset, its a laugh, really, not for the serious Elvis fan.

Bring earplugs in case you try to eat too close to "Elvis".

If you are lucky your steak will agree and sing "love me tender tonight"....
