The Democrat Party has submitted an impeachment motion against eight Pheu Thai MPs, accusing them of violating the Constitution by interfering in the flood-relief operations.

The motion was sponsored by 150 Democrat MPs and submitted to Senate Speaker General Thiradej Meepian. The petition accuses the eight MPs of specifically violating Articles 265 and 266.

The MPs facing impeachment are Justice Minister Pracha Promnok, Bangkok MPs Karun Hosakul, Surachart Thienthong, Wicharn Minchainun and Jirayu Huangsup, Samut Prakan MP Worachai Hema, Uttaradit MP Thanusak Lekuthai and party-list MP Jarupong Rungsuwan.
