Thai Girlfriend Has Lost Passport

Hi all. My Girlfriend in all her wisdom has lost her passport as we are due to go to Vietnam on december 13th. Does anyone know where She need go to get a new one? She allready has a police report to say its been lost or stolen. She will be in bangkok monday so if anyone knows what is the procedure then please give us some help. Thankyou very much. Man, to have a thai Girl you have got to have the pationce of a saint and pockets deep as bill gates!!! my my my she always loosing stuff!!

MFA Passport office is in the government complex on Chaeng Wattanna road, this should be the website http://www.mfa.go.th/web/472.php but I can't get it to load on my slow connection (due to flooding I have no landline).

Cancel that, Im told its the kings birthday on monday so It will have to be chiang Mai. I have read some other posts and see that it is possible to do it in chiang mai.

Also, there's Thai public holidays on 5th AND 12th so better make sure you have all the paperwork and be nice to the passport people and hope they can expedite it.

On the other hand, Vietnam for the single man is pretty darn good; a lot better than Vietnam with a high-maintenance Thai girlfriend in tow.

any passport office will do it, one here in phuket takes less than 5 days after u apply till u receive it in the mail.

5th all is closed so go 6th morning

For anyone reading this topic, We applied for passport in chaing mai, but it was 5 days turnaround. we needed it in 3. Only option was to pick up from main government building in bangkok 3 days later. thats the fastist way you can do it. No extra charge. we did need to show evidence of our flights and the police report of theft for them to let us pick it up in 3 days from head office.

YOU CANT GET IT ALL DONE IN 1 DAY, SOME PEOPLE OVER THERE TOLD ME YOU CAN, BUT YOU CANT. yOU CAN RENEW A PASSPORT IN 1 DAY I BELIEVE BUT NOT GET A NEW ONE.
