2 Million Baht robbery from Navy Officer’s house in Sattahip

SATTAHIP: -- A Navy Officer returned to his house early on Wednesday Morning to find that 2 Million Baht’s worth of Buddhist Amulets had been stolen. Lieutenant Winai aged 58 reported the incident to Sattahip Police who arrived at his house, located at the Napanan Land & Village in Bang Sarae, and were shown the point of entry which was the front door. Evidence of major disturbances throughout the house was seen and the officer confirmed that hundreds of valuable amulets had been stolen. The officer explained that he had left his house at 10pm on Tuesday and travelled to Bang Pra in Sriracha District and stayed with his Wife and Daughter there until he returned to his house early on Wednesday Morning to find it had been broken into, Fingerprint impressions were taken from various locations around the House

One arrested following 2 Million Baht Amulet robbery from home in Sattahip

SATTAHIP: -- A Police Informant is now being sought by Police in connection with the arrest of a man thought to be part of a gang responsible for a recent break-in at a Navy Lieutenants house in Sattahip District where 2 Million Baht’s worth of Buddhist Amulets were stolen. The break-in occurred on 7th December at the house of Lieutenant Winai aged 58. Since that time Police have been looking into the case and on Thursday announced the arrest of Khun Sompong aged 21 who was found to be storing the less valuable amulets at his house in Soi Bongai in Sattahip District. The valuable amulets have reportedly been taken by two further suspects who are thought to have been involved in the case, Khun Anuwat aged 22 and a 21 year old man known only as “Bank”. The arrestee claims they would steal items to order and a Police Informant known as “Bop” would then exchange the items for drugs.
