I can't believe that 70 people have looked at this post and I have yet to have anyone help me with it. Is it because I lived in Phuket?

Hi

The place for driving licences is near the new pier near krabi town same road as the new immigration think it's the purple coloured building you want to look for.

The only problem you face is if you need a letter of residency, as it has to be issued from where you do your extensions etc.....

But if you have a work permit , I don't think you need the letter. Have a look here:

I just wanted to thank everyone, and I did find the newimmigration and they were friendly but couldn't help me with my wife signed IDcard and owner of the land copy signed with the residence paper you need for adriving license. To Krabi immigration everything must be done in Phuket. Thetransportation department wanted to help but because Krabi Immigration wouldgive me the residence slip they couldn't help me either. Both departments werevery nice to me but I tell you this red tape BS will be the down fall of countriesif they don't correct the old ways of thinking.
