Krub
Hi, It seems that I have lost my bank book. I suppose it is easy to replace with a new one but what about the 'old' entries ? Would the bank be able to give me a 'copy' of the entries for the immigration ? Thanks Edited November 24, 2005 by Krub
Krub
Hi, I seem to have lost my bank book (stupid mistake) Would the immigration accept a brand new book with only the balance as there will be no history ? Obviously I wouls also have the bank letter stating the balance.... Thanks

It might make a difference on your age and type of extension - if you have a retirement and Embassy pension letter it probably would not be a major factor. Obviously I wouls also have the bank letter stating the balance.... Thanks As I understand it, they need to be able to see that money has been brought into Thailand from abroad. It's the magical foreign transfer codes you need... I think. But wait until lopburi3 or somebody else can confirm this. If you have a new bank book, just go to the bank and ask them to print out the history, AFAIK most banks print out the past month or three months. U must show a police report, otherwise no new book or statement will be issued. (my past experience 2 weeks ago)
astral
I have never been aware that immigration took much interest in the history. It is the total in the book and the matching letter that matter, plus the international transfer form that the bank should give you for each transfer that matters. Rinrada
Gotta report it to the Police first and get a receipt....only cost me 10 baht
Billion
No need to worry, Astral has right, the transferred money and letter from your bank in Thailand should be enough; also a receipt from your transferred bank abroad is required. (They asked for my receipt from abroad)
