Wouldn't It Be Better If Thailand....

Featured Replies

Thailand would be so much better and more pleasant if there weren't dozens of hand painted glary bill boards stuck on every tree along every road. It seems that anyone can put as many boards where ever they want without regard. I wonder if there are any laws about this.

There is actually such a thing as a 'sign tax'. Evidently it is either very low or not very efficiently enforced though.

I've never seen billboards like in Thailand - huge ones!

Only reason they are up there is the minimul wind velocity - hence all the smog... :o

Could they just be a sign of the times? :o

I like them! They brighten the place up a little!!

India's are far better though!

You like them!

I don't mean the big ones in the city’s, with real pictures and adverts. I mean the many, many small ones that are completely Thai without pictures and only one or two lines of text. The home made ones that line the minor highways.

Ah! Well they're usually just signs advertising various services like petrol or food, pretty much the same as ones you'll see in the UK countryside advertising apples or Fresh cream Devon Arse Biscuits for sale.

Shame they're in Thai in Thailand though. Utterly useless then aren't they............ :o
