Kazakhstan resident of Pattaya catches suspected thief inside his apartment

PATTAYA: -- A Thai man took less than 72 hours to re-offend after he was released from the Pattaya Remand Prison where he was serving a two year sentence for theft, thanks to a pardon on 9th December. He is accused of breaking-into a room at the Benjapan Apartments in Soi A.R. in Central Pattaya. The room occupant, Mr. Vadim Ussenko aged 26 from Kazakhstan returned to the room on Monday afternoon and could not understand why it had been locked from the inside. Eventually forced entry to the room was made and inside was the suspect, Khun Chamnan aged 26, who had stuffed his pockets with 3,400 Euros and 12,200 Kazakhstan Tenge. All together the equivalent of over 140,000 Baht was taken. Once the door to the room was open, the suspect attempted to escape but was caught close to the apartment by Mr. Ussenko and members of the public and explained that he needed to get back to his home Province

Police charged the suspect with theft and he is likely to return to prison should he be convicted in Court.

Don't forget to throw away the key.
