Former PM Somchai Opposes Reshuffle after New Year

Former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat believes it may be too soon to reshuffle the Cabinet after the New Year.

In any case, he has voiced his support for the prime minister and the government's attempt to introduce the amnesty bill to lawmakers.

Former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat commented on a possible Cabinet reshuffle after the New Year, saying it may be too soon because the government has only been in power for couple of months.

Instead, he says the current Cabinet should be given another year to perform, and each minister's performance should be evaluated afterward.

He pointed out that in any case, the issue will be decided by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra herself.

Somchai also voiced support for Yingluck for prioritizing the flood-relief effort.

He believes the Pheu Thai-led government will implement its campaign promises once the floodwater has receded.

The former premier admitted that the government has been working hard but has not shown many results.

Somchai also agrees with the government's attempt to introduce the amnesty bill to Parliament, claiming that it will promote national reconciliation.

However, the government will heed the recommendation from the House reconciliation committee.

Moreover, the former prime minister has confirmed the report that his wife, Yaowapa Wongsawat, who is also a younger sister of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinwatra, traveled to Singapore last weekend to meet with her older brother but the two did not discuss politics or the issue of reshuffle.

Yes, that's right, they talked about the desert, camels, Dubai architecture, the joys of Islam for women and the shopping opportunities in the island state.:whistling:

The two did not discuss politics? Who on this planet is going to believe that?... save perhaps for red fanaticals....enter stage left, Thaivisa's motley crew of red fanaticals.

I mean, why blatantly lie? For what purpose? For goodness sake, just say, "what they discussed was a private matter", and leave it at that. How difficult would that be?

Nah, they don't believe it either. It's just they don't think the law should apply to those they support.

but that would take some degree of finesse and honesty. Every time they deny all they do is draw attention to their falsehoods. something that all the pollies in this country fall into all the time
