A slew of senior police officers attached to the Metropolitan Police Bureau are set to lose their posts in the upcoming reshuffle.

"There will be many transfers," Metropolitan Police Commissioner LtGeneral Winai Thongsong said yesterday, confirming that he had already finalised a reshuffle plan that would be further discussed at a meeting today. The reshuffle will take effect late this month.

An informed source said the reshuffle would see police officers close to Thaksin Shinawatra being moved to important posts. Among them was Pol MajGeneral Boonsong Panichattra, who lost his job as deputy metropolitan police commissioner during the previous administration.

Winai was evasive when asked whether all police officers with close ties to the previous administration were going to be sidelined.

He did however say that many politicians had been trying to secure promotion for certain police officers. "So, I have put up a board saying 'No Lobbying for Police Reshuffle' in front of my office," he added.

A sign. It's a high visibility method that's proven time and time again to be so extremely effective here.

And underneath is written, in smaller letters, 'All Deliveries of Lunch-Boxes via the Back Door' ?

All reshuffle are set to favour the current government in power. Isn't that the norm? What's the news?

What happen to the police chief that was removed? He was making a fuss about taking his case to court. No news since.

You mean there are still some senior police positions that have still not been purchased by the convicted "Parkinsons Disease suffering" criminal?

Tried and true formula:

1/ Stack the police (first because it's the easiest) especially in BKK

2/ Stack the courts

3/ Stack the military - this step has to be handled very carefully as tends to make the bomb explode prematurely with disastrous consequences.

You can really see what he thinks of others in this shot. All bow deeply as he gets his hands at navel level and surveys all who bow before him.... And this is just his family. Imagine what he expects of the audience.

Imagine his chagrin at Anupong's mothers funeral, that he crashed uninvited, when Prem's wai to him was 4 inches lower still than this one.

Stack the coffins of your opposition and innocents that get in the way of political expedience.

That was funny when he tried to insist that Manchester City footballers wai him to open their games.

Apparently installing relatives as Prime Minister, Justice Minister, Chief of Police and Foreign Minister wasn't enough. When it comes to undermining the checks and balances of government, Thaksin just doesn't know where to stop.

Inevitably, it will blow up in his face. Again.

You know what?

This is good.

It lets the inevitable happen.

5 Years from now Thailand will be entering into a full on civil war to rid the country of a ruthless DICTATOR the Red shirt spat will pail into insignificance.

Perhaps the UN will help "or not" (no oil at stake)

Thailand is heading towards a Dictatorship of the worst kind, police will be able to walk into your home and shoot you in the head if you are against the REGIME.

His opposition will be executed or just disappear.

Why is this good? it will give the Thais a lesson and a wake up call to reality and will be stronger for it if they survive.

Come back here in 10 years and hopefully it will all be behind us and we can remember the heros and the millions who died and the beloved institutions that were wipped out over night. (you know what I am talking about) :jap:

This will all happen. :(

I doubt this will take 5 years...

But fortunately not go as far as you predict.

You really should consider changing your medication.

Consolidating power with family and friends first step. The floods are still causing problems but this crew justs picks up the pace.

:whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

And so it starts!!

Are they simply beckoning for trouble or what!!! Just how many provocative and contentious things are they planning to do to stir up the Democrats "wasp nest"???

I thought that Yingluck promised to serve (for the people) - not that I believed this one iota.

It's as if they are saying "bring on the coup" the way they are acting and as far as I'm concerned........it can't come soon enough. This government is the most ineffective and incompetent government Thailand has ever had at a time when confidence in it's actions is so desparately needed but not forthcoming. Don't those stupid Isan people realise that Thailand "is about more than one man", after all, he is not their saviour, never has been and never will be. He is rotten to the core, bad, bad, bad for Thailand and it's people and is driving a proud nation to it's ruins - and what for???? So he can come back to where he doesn't belong and is not wanted. A heavy price to pay for someone on his own personal egotistical revenge mission :annoyed:.

The highest court in the land should rule on this present lot in power! It has become obvious over the last few weeks that they are in power to put the "wrongs" right of one person and one person only.

This is not what the majority voted for..

A government is there for the people and not for one person and that person's cronies !!

The courts must come out on this (even the Privy Council) , dismiss the present administration and call elections immediately.

Change the currency overnight and bring all the people of Thailand back on a par with each other. Strip all of those corrupt and hiso's of power as well as there passports they hold.

NO EXCEPTIONS...

Will be far easier to catch them all and dispatch them all when the time comes!!!

Its seemingly what those pathetic, misinformed , gullible and mistaken Isan's wanted - they are already paying for it (in bundles) with the laughable flood disaster response and will continue to pay for it in the years to come (assumes no coup takes place in the meantime).

Yes, they will probably have their 'fake' god back in time but it will be a heavy price to pay indeed for ONE PERSON'S mission, especially when (don't tell them) he doesn't really care about them one jot!!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!.

Is that next to the one saying 'No passing of money under the table'...?
