Counterfeit branded mobile phones seized by Police at South Pattaya Mall

PATTAYA: -- Despite numerous warning from local Police not to sell counterfeit branded mobile phones at the Tuk Com IT Center located in South Pattaya, vendors ignored the warning and were subject to a raid by Region 2 Police on Wednesday. The operation was led by Police Major General Tara, Deputy Commissioner of Region 2 Police who led the raid of all mobile phone shops located on the 1st floor of the Center. Vendors who were selling cheap copies of branded phones such as IPhones and Blackberry’s which are imported from China were arrested and their phones were confiscated. The General warned tourists not to purchase these sub-standard mobile phones as they normally stop working after a few months.
