90 day reporting

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if there is a maximum fine for not reporting the 90 address report. Just realised that I should have reported 190 days ago and have to renew 1 year visa in 5 weeks, this is something like a 42,000 baht fine. Is the fine 5000 baht plus 200 for each day missed and when do they count from - 90 days from when you entered incountry or from first visa issue date, is there a max fine or do you have any suggestions???
20,000 Baht is the maximum. Counts 200 Baht/day from the last entry into the country. You might consider travel out and in again to get a new entry, might be cheaper. Immigration don't fine for non-reporting while exiting the country.

I'm in  the same boat as mike and being lazy and stupid I haven't reported in 2 years! If I report will I get hit for the full 20000 baht or is there room for "discussion"?

Avex, why you don't just not cross any land border point and do a visa run, they are not supposed to check the 90 days rule at land crossings. After that you are ok again, and the 90 days count will start from that entry back to the Kingdom, as you declare your address at the TM-card.

Because you are on yearly extensions, you will need a re-entry permit if you don't have a valid one already.

Thanks Fester! I live in Isaan and am on yearly extensions so if I just go to Vientiane for the day and use a reentry permit the 90 days start on my return? Sounds great!
Fester!!! This trick was a well kept secret, how dare you? :o
