Hi All,

Apologies if this has been addressed before.

I currently hold a Non "O" Multi-entry Visa ( Based on Marriage ) and Issued in Ireland.

This will expire 6th June 2012.

""The easiest option for the 1 year renewal of this is to return to Ireland before expiry.. send off marriage certs and passport with required fee.. and presto.. 7 days later I get back passport with another 1 year Non "O" Multi-entry Visa.

My Questions are as follows...

1/ I will be arriving in LOS in Jan 2012, After 90 days, Can I just go to the Local ( Jomtien ) Immigration office and get my next 90 days "OR" Do I have to leave to a neighboring country.. Visa run to get my next 90 days..?? I've been told i only need to go local immigration office and apply with required fees. ??

2/ Im booking the flights with return 4th June ( Due to current Non "O" visa expiry 6th June ).. Is this acceptable for immigration officials at arrivals in airport ?? ( They will see that my Visa is valid until 6th June )

3/ Is it possible to renew my Non "O" Multi-entry ( based on marriage ), before expiry.. at the Jomtien Immigration office.. ?? If so what documents are required ?? Marriage certs ?? Passport etc ??

All Help appreciated

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

Mark

1. You need to exit the country and return.

2. No problem as long as you have a Visa.

3. Yes. Apply within the final 30 days of any stay.

Marriage Requirements

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Letter from your Thai Bank showing balance and up to date bank book.

OR.

Letter from your Embassy showing income. Now may also need proof of income as back up.

Marriage Certificate

Marriage Registry entry.

Wife's Tabbien Baan and ID Card.

Your Passport.

Copies of everything.

Photos of you and your Wife in and around the house.

A map showing the way to your house.

Passport size photos and 1,900 Baht fee.

Take your Wife to be interviewed.

You will be given a 30 day under consideration stamp.

Go back in a month and get the remainder.

As said the option is for extension of stay for Thai wife inside Thailand and that will require financial requirements as listed above and both visit immigration with paperwork during the last 30 days of a non immigrant O visa entry and return 30 days later for the decision/stamp.

  • 2 months later...
