11 day old child dies following parental bust-up at house in East Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- An 11 day old baby girl has died in suspicious circumstances in East Pattaya following a bust-up between her parents, the night before. Police were contacted by medical staff at Banglamung Hospital who arrived and inspected the body of the baby and found no evidence of injuries which may have caused her death. Also at the Hospital were the distraught parents, Khun Wittaya aged 26 and his wife, Khun Itiwar aged 30, who had a black eye and other minor injuries. The pair explained that in the early hours of Thursday they had a fight at their house in Soi Kao Noi. Khun Itawar, decided to leave and went to her mother’s house but left the 11 day old baby with the father. Later in the morning she returned to the house to feed her child and attempt to fix the problems with her Husband. The pair then went to sleep and woke up at 3.30pm to find their child was dead. They rushed her to the Hospital but she was declared dead-on-arrival. Doctors are currently unsure of the exact cause of death and have ordered a post mortem examination at the Police Forensic Institute in Bangkok
