Given the massively increased visibility of avatars in the new format here, it has occurred to me that my current avatar (which is Walt Whitman in case you're wondering) is a bit on the BORING side. Graphically speaking. I don't think Walt Whitman was boring.

So I'm potentially in the market for a new avatar. One that moves!

Any suggestions? Specific as possible preferred. Something a little more exciting than a picture of a slice of pound cake of course.

If its any encouragement, I find animated avatars irritating - particlarly repetitive movements like Dantilley's

Less irritating than none at all. Which seems to be the popular movement of the day.

Food for thought, as I certainly wouldn't want to irritate anybody, no, not me ...unsure.png

Thanks again! Now I guess I'll have to see how I feel about it. That doesn't mean I'm not open to other suggestions.

BTW, a more "stereotypical" gay dude should grab that gay Spiderman gif. That's fantastic.

What makes you think you're not stereotypical?

You'll have to trust me on that one.

Thanks for the input, though it doesn't work for me. It looks a bit reproductive like a giant sperm eternally missing a tiny egg.

O wad some Power the giftie gie us

EDIT: This seems like an excellent thread to divert into a discourse on Burns' humanist tendencies. The ode from which the above quote is lifted relates to a headlouse in the church, and we should all be well reminded that for all our airs and graces, whenever we find ourselves beset with lice, or other problems, those lice care nothing for our airs and graces, our social standing, our wealth or morals. And thus we share the tick-borne ailments of our poorer brethren and so suffer their ill hygiene. Which takes us back to another thread bemoaning the relative treatment of our immigrant neighbours and our errant selves by our own governments, whose responsibility lies in the public health of their country and its residents, not the private health of its citizens.

I get that you think that. Anyway, it's not important. Cheers.

Interesting, but not animated. Was it originally?

He's bopping away on my screen.

OK, I got the thing to dance. It certainly is klutzier than gay Spiderman.
