Feature From Cowboy Hats to Neon Lights: The Evolution of Bangkok's Soi Cowboy
Anyone remember the Red Diamond bar from the 70s, opposite the Cowboy, run by a Swedish guy called Rolf? That's the first bar I went in. Rolf went on to try and found a free ad-based Internet service in the late 90s but was nobbled by CAT. Other early bars were Mukda's (the candle show) and the Jetset Lounge where I first saw Bladerunner on video. Those were the days! -

Canada has much more restrictive political campaigning and financing laws. It effectively limits the impact of purchasing influence through contributions. I haven't lived there for decades so my knowledge of candidate selection is rather limited. I do know that portion of the political process is not so protracted or as rigged as the US system. -

I recommend Tim Newton Today. Here is a sample of his trending news Monday through Friday. He also does a live show on Saturdays and Grumpy Old men (Tim Newton is from Australia, and Steve Rosse is from America) on Sundays, both just over one hour each. -
