Can You Buy A Real Leather Bag For 2000 Bahts?

Hi all, I read on the site tastythailand that you can buy a leather bag at MBK for 1600 bahts. But when I came there, I could not find any leather bag at that price. One trader even told me that her bag costs 16000 bahts.

So in reality, for 2000 bahts, what type of handbag can you expect to buy at MBK?

I want to buy a handbag for my partner, but am confused at MBK.

I knew a girl who used to sell bags at TON handbag shop on the ground level near the rear of MBK. They had leather bags in the B2000 range. Bargain hard!

I bought a good man bag at Tesco for about 1600 bhat . I had to get a heavy stitch sewn in at the strap joints by an old guy at the market because it became detached, but it has lasted more than a few years now and looks quite good in an Indiana Jones sorta way .

Try Amarin, 2nd floor towards the back. There is a bag shop next to Koreena Silk (scarf shop). My mum bought her Mulberry copy for B1,600 last year. There is a shop in Pratunam Centre (now Palladium) that offers the same stock, but more expensive (without negotiation).

Maybe it was the 3rd floor. Either way, it ISN'T the floor with the outdoors gear.
