Where Top Buy Tent Udon Thani ?

Featured Replies

I am staying at one Temple now and discovered a tent and it is great to use including keeping unwanted guests but not ideal for summer as it has minimal ventilation which is a must.

I am looking for a small light weight tent that i can easily carry with me. I will be staying in forest monasteries and need a self standing mosquito net but with a rain protection too, hence a tent.

I have a self standing mosquito net that you use for just sitting in but now realise I need to lie down too.

Any suggestions appreciated where I can purchase one.

In Korat they have small two man tents in Big C, Tescos and Macro, for about 400baht. Good tents too,...my wife bought one and used when she went to Khao Yai National Park with her friends.

Also at sporting goods stores common in malls.

Third floor of Central Shopping Mall in Udon Thani, there's a big sporting goods shop with a very good selection of tents

thanks guys. will follow your suggestions. cheers

Do a bit of camping in the jungle at times and would never us a tent. You can get ex US army hammocks, light with a built in mossie net and rain sheet. They are much cooler to sleep in and you are off the ground, away from some of the nasty things. Jim.

Don't know your area, I got mine at the border Chong Mek, but would think any shop selling ex army gear will have them. Jim
