PHUKET: -- French film enthusiasts will be in for a treat next month, when the French Thai Cultural Festival "La Fête" hits Phuket with free showings of five acclaimed movies at the Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus.

The five films, all with subtitles in English, will be:

In Mom’s Head (Comedy / 2007 / Directed by Carine Tardieu)

Me and My Sister (Comedy / 2004 / Directed by Alexandra Leclère)

My Uncle (Comedy / 1958 / Directed by Jacques Tati)

Trouble at Timpeltill (Comedy / 2008 / Directed by Nicolas Bary)

Mice and Mite Drama (Drama 2004 / Directed by Jeanne Labrune)

Now in its second consecutive year, La Fête includes events all over Thailand: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Phuket, and for the first time Khon Kaen.

The showings run from February 13 to 17, starting at 6:30pm nightly.
