My first entry on my double tourist is about to expire, can I get another month at immigration before doing a border run to enter on my 2nd entry....I vaguely remember doing this before....?

If so do I need any paperwork and is it expensive?

Not by crossing border but at an immigration office. Form is normal TM.7 with 4x6cm photo and copies of your passport/visa/stamp and arrival card. Cost is 1,900 baht.

Be sure you make your second entry before the date on visa itself. This may mean you need to exit/return before the new 30 days permitted to stay date.

1900baht at any immigration office should get you 30 day extension. You will need to fill out the form for extension of stay in Thailand it covers all extensions of stay on any visa. A couple of photos and immigration should have a copy center. Just tell them extension of tourist visa they will make your copies. There are a lot of threads here covering your needs.

Go a few days early you will not lose any days as the extension starts when the 1rst visa expires.

You can entend your permission to stay for 30 days at immigration for 1900 baht. Just make sure that when you make your second entry, it is before the "must enter by" date stamped on your VISA.

Thanks guys

My enter before date is 28th Feb so it should work out quite nicely with the extension. Should I download and print the form or will I be able to get it at immo?

Bump

Ive got my last extension coming up on my double entry tourist visa, it expires on the 23rd, will I be ok to go after Songkran, like the 17th? Its a few days early but will that matter, will I lose any days?

it is even advised to do it a bit early and you will not lose any days, you could even do it before Songkran. The 17th will be very bussy, as they just open then after a holiday.

Your extension starts on the day your current permisison ends.
