Where Can One Buy Desert Hats In Bkk?

Featured Replies

Looking for desert hats in BKK. I have seen Boonie hats, but don't recall ever seeing desert hats! Hats that have a "flap(s)" covering the back and sides of the hat. Would also like to know the cost and type of material used. Cotton, synthetic or a combination.

Thanks!

I seen them in fishing shops like the one in Bungsamran.

North Face counter in most dept stores. :)

Any local Thai market, the labourers on building sites wear them to protect their faces from the sun (they are full face wrap around with slits for eyes) so they probably only cost a couple of hundred Baht.

They're made of cotton.

You can also find them in the shops that sell second hand army stuff. But be careful, there are generally too small for big western heads.

Why don't you do like everybody else, use an old t-shirt, put in front of your eyes the hole for the head and use the sleeves to tie it up behind your head.

Who wants to be like "everyone else " ? A hat is a hat, a t-shirt is a t-shirt... better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think you are a fool.... than to open it and give them evidence...
