A Good Thai Language School + Ed Visa

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this should be in the "visa" section or "Thai language" section. Mods please feel free to move it if necessary.

I'm looking for a good Thai language school that also offers one year Educational visas. I do want to improve my Thai (still at beginner level) and I want to take care of the visa issue as well.

The school should be within 15 minute walking distance of a BTS or MRT station, use good text books (I personally like the books from Benjawan Poomsan Becker, Paiboon Publishing, so if the school is using these books, that would be a plus point), teach speaking, reading, writing and listening.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe in the BKK section since you are asking for a local location?

Yes, that makes sense. How can I move it to the BKK section?

The most reliable recommendations you will always get from ex-students.

I also highly recommend Language Express at Ploenchit BTS - for your stated purposes - Thai Language Instructions and Ed Visa.

Convenient - Professional - Experienced.

Can really recommend Pro Language School.

They are great with the ED visa and are a well know school.

They also have very good course books and student material. The teachers are properly qualified and have several years experience. Got very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very helpful if you have any questions about you visa or the class.

Because they are quiet a big school, they can easily find a groups or class that is the right level for you, and also can be flexible about the times you want to learn.

They do a free trial lesson for an hour, so maybe go and give that a go. I really recommend it and have been a student there for over 2 years.

I know Language Express - have inquired about prices, etc. but they're a lot more expensive than other similar schools. Location is great, teachers are good but I don't particularly like the books they use.

Will check out Pro Language next.

Thanks for all the suggestions and feed back.

Once you break the back of the fundamentals of the Thai language...,that is I, you, we and so on( phom ,khun blah blah blah ) it is then remembering individual words, you do not need a tutor for that, just about 10 hours or so to get the basic handle on it,the best and most fluent farang speakers are the piss artists propping the bars up day and night.

A most stupid language ,back to front, one word describing 6 and upward meanings ,just grunt and groan as to the exact meaning
