Iranian Bangkok Bomb Suspects link with Pattaya investigated by Immigration Police

PATTAYA:-- Details emerged on Tuesday that the three Iranian men involved in the bomb attacks in Bangkok earlier in the day, appear to have begun their trip to Thailand in Pattaya.

Chonburi Immigration were ordered by the National Police Chief to investigate the claims and centered their investigations on the Top Thai Hotel in Soi P72 Hotel off Walking Street, South Pattaya. Three men, who closely resembled the men involved in the bombings according to security camera footage, had checked into room number 310 on 11th February and checked out on 13th February, the day before the bomb attacks. Immigration are stressing that this information has yet to be fully verified, however, an issue relating to Hotels reporting details of their guests to Immigration within 24 hours of their arrival has emerged and it appears this regulation is being largely ignored.

Immigration Police Chief, Colonel Choosak, stressed how important it is for Hotels to send this information to Immigration to help with detection of possible foreign criminal elements that enter Thailand.

Bangkok bomb suspects 'partied in Pattaya'

BANGKOK, February 17, 2012 (AFP) - Three Iranians suspected in a botched bomb plot targeting Israeli diplomats in Bangkok holidayed in the Thai resort of Pattaya just days before the blasts, an official said Friday.

"The three suspects stayed in different hotels in Pattaya," an immigration officer in the coastal city who did not want to be named told AFP.

Police have tracked down a Thai woman known as "Nancy" who escorted one of the men, Mohamad Khazaei, during his stay, he added.

"The most important evidence we found are pictures in Nancy's mobile phone taken on the night of February 11 which prove that these suspects know each other," the officer said.

Pattaya, about a two-hour drive southeast of Bangkok, has earned a reputation for its wild nightlife thanks to its thriving red light district.

According to the Bangkok Post daily, the Thai woman was also in the suspect's hotel room "but didn't detect any irregularities except one time when he barred her from approaching a closet in the room."

The English-language daily published a photograph that it said showed the three suspects relaxing in a hotel bar with two Thai female companions, under the headline: "Suspects partied in Pattaya."

Thai police chief Phrewphan Damapong said Thursday that Israeli diplomats were the intended target of the botched plot, which came to light following an apparently accidental explosion at a house in Bangkok on Tuesday.

One of the men -- named as 28-year-old Saeid Moradi -- had his legs blown off as he hurled a bomb at Thai police while fleeing.

Khazaei was detained trying to board a flight out of the country.

Thailand charged Moradi and Khazaei on Wednesday in connection with the third bomb incident to shake world capitals in less than 24 hours, but Tehran has rejected Israeli accusations that it is behind a terror campaign.

Bangkok is seeking the extradition of a third suspect arrested Wednesday in Malaysia after fleeing the kingdom.

Thai cops: Iran suspects cavorted with prostitutes

THANYARAT DOKSONE and TODD PITMAN

BANGKOK (AP) - The three Iranian men detained for allegedly plotting bomb attacks in Bangkok on Israeli diplomats had more than terror on their minds in Thailand. Police said Friday that they had also cavorted with prostitutes at a beach resort.

The news comes as Thai authorities announced they were searching for two more suspects in the botched bomb plot, including a possible explosives specialist who may [more…]

UPDATE

Immigration Police monitor middle-eastern tourists in Pattaya

PATTAYA:-- Pattaya Immigration Police are working hard at this time to ensure that the city remains safe from any further bomb attacks which rocked Bangkok earlier this week.

Officers are concentrating their efforts on an area in South Pattaya where there are many bars and restaurants catering primarily for middle-eastern tourists. Part of their work is ensuring that Hotels in the area are keeping accurate records of their guests in accordance with immigration regulations which state that information on their foreign guests must be sent to Immigration within 24 hours of them arriving at the Hotel or Guest House.

Police in Bangkok believe there are at least 5 Iranian Nationals who played a part in the Valentine’s Day Bombing and are currently seeking arrest warrants for them.

I sure hope this is not just a show and they actually clamp down on making sure that reporting is done for hotel guests. I know this is not going to stop bad guys from doing bad things but it will help law enforcement track suspects down when needed.

Once again the hypocricy of that culture is shown. No drinking and few available women in their home county, but they are quick to spread their wings once they hit Thailand. From memory, the 9/11 hijackers did the same thing in the US prior to their act of terrorism.

Gives a whole new meaning to "Blowing Your Load" in Pattaya......

Not having a go at you I would have commented that it was a blow job to remember but but are the Mods at Thai Visa remiss in allowing such comments?

Exactly what I was thinking! The hypocrisy of it all shows the true worth of their religious aberrations - completely baseless!

WOW... the AP story about terrorists cavorting with Pattaya prostitutes is traveling far and wide around the world in all kinds of news outlets...not surprisingly...

So now Thailand has three problems on its hands, not just one...

--gaining an international reputation has a haven for terrorists.

--reinforcing its already existing reputation for sex for sale and prostitution.

--And now best of all, joining the two to become the place where terrorists come for prostitutes.

Whatever is the government going to do??? clap2.gif

I wonder if these reports above means the bomb suspects may have left behind some important DNA evidence in Pattaya.... drunk.gifjerk.gif

Perhaps "Nancy" or the other ladies mentioned in the article might be of some assistance in that regard....

Nothing like good ole' DNA to help solve a criminal case.

Though it is illegal for them, l suspect their liquid stuff is all over the place, tut tut, nooooooooooo heaven. coffee1.gif

Ewww... I'm looking at the BKK Post's website photo of the three guys sitting there at the bar or restaurant, with two of them kind of cuddled up with two Thai ladies...

And one of the guys appears to be kissing one of the women on the cheek as the photo is taken....

Ewwww.... Maybe that's why they weren't quite focused when it came time for them to do their business in BKK.

The article refers to the lady who provided the mobile phone photos as Nan...not Nancy... And quotes the national police chief as saying they took Nan to BKK to help make suspect Khazaei "feel more at ease."

Do they mean like...congugal visits???

Could Thailand's ladies of easy virtue be the nation's latest and greatest weapons in the fight against terrorism???

Blimey, 72 virgins at my disposal, what would l do with them. Serious now. The mind boggles and it would kill me for sure.

BUT, it is amazing that guy's are taken over by this stuff. Hypnotism comes to mind.

That and the possibility of crap easily fillling previously empty brain cells. Both of them.

Awww come on! Give the blokes a break. Who wants to have 72 virgins at their disposal and no idea what to do with them. They simply sought professional pre-martyr sex education in the world renowned coital college, Pattaya, of course. Hypocritical to their cause, yes.....but logical.
