Ewww... I'm looking at the BKK Post's website photo of the three guys sitting there at the bar or restaurant, with two of them kind of cuddled up with two Thai ladies...

And one of the guys appears to be kissing one of the women on the cheek as the photo is taken....

Ewwww.... Maybe that's why they weren't quite focused when it came time for them to do their business in BKK.

The article refers to the lady who provided the mobile phone photos as Nan...not Nancy... And quotes the national police chief as saying they took Nan to BKK to help make suspect Khazaei "feel more at ease."

Do they mean like...congugal visits???

Could Thailand's ladies of easy virtue be the nation's latest and greatest weapons in the fight against terrorism???

Well there ain't much point in taking her to see "Moradi", presume if he blew both his legs off then the middle wicket must have taken a battering too...

Well, they weren't very good at assassination, and one of them almost succeeded at suicide, so I say the confusion is understandable!

I would say though that if the Iranian government were actually behind this, they would not have sent this amateur hour bunch of clowns. This strikes me as a handful of nut jobs armed with internet know how, blowing their last few dollars on fat hookers and cheap beer before giving it a go.

Come on folks, it was some kind of Iran proxy. The most likely motivation: to make it clear to Israel that if they bomb their nuclear development sites, Israelis will be under attack both at home and all over the world. From Iran's point of view, that's a useful message to send. It may indeed deter Israel. We'll see.

I am not entirely convinced that this is the motive if Iranian authorities are behind this - If they are trying to build nuclear weapons I would expect them to be playing for time rather than drawing attention to themselves or provoking an attack against them.

There was an interesting article on Ahmadinejad yesterday in Al Arabiya News which could suggest a power struggle going on there which maybe has some bearing on what is going on.

89% don`t think they were suicide bombers. They`re just using the 72 virgins to humourously highlight the absurdity of religiously motivated terrorists. You don`t need to be a suicide bomber to earn your 72 virgins, just enter paradise as a martyr, which could be dying for the cause in any number of ways.
