43 Transsexuals rounded-up by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA:-- 43 Transsexuals were rounded-up by Pattaya Police in the early hours of Wednesday following a barrage of complaints from Tourists who have reported numerous incidents to Police involving transsexuals who mostly frequent Pattaya Beach and Walking Street.

Police and Volunteers began their sweep at the Northern end of Pattaya Beach and went straight through to the Bali Hai Port at the southern-end of Pattaya Beach and escorted the detainees to Pattaya Police Station

It appears the transexuals were arrested because they were loitering. Well, they might as well arrest those men lurking there with their tongues hanging out. And also the working ladies who also seem to loiter in the same areas.

I guess loitering is a bit like prostitution and gambling...in between crackdowns and/or roundups, these activities do not exist at all because they are illegal and the police are so good at keeping Pattaya free from illegal activities.

loitering with their hands in passerbys pockets most likely, I for one get tired of having to cross the street to avoid the inevitable confrontation that takes place when they try to put their hands in my back pocket

but actually the police have been taking more ladies then ladyboys, Im not sure why the report only mentions ladyboys
