Mother jailed for forcing underage daughters to have sex for money

BANGKOK: -- A Thai Court on Tuesday sentenced a 50-year-old mother to 42 years in jail for forcing her daughter, a minor, into prostitution.

A Briton, Stuart Hargreaves Lloyd, 45, was also sentenced to 21 years in jail after being found guilty of raping minors.

The Court was told that Tim Wongsiri had taught and forced her daughter, aged under 13, and two others girls to have sex with Lloyd and other men between 2004 and 2010 at many places including hotels in Bangkok and Chon Buri.

Both defendants denied the charges. Her daughter and other girls, however, gave verifiable details of the venues, times and payments of the offences.

They informed psychologists that Tim, a former prostitute, threatened to stop sponsoring their tuition unless they had sex with customers.

21 Years in a Thai prison. That will give him time to reflect. Then if he gets sent to a UK prison to finish his sentence that won't be a picnic for a kiddie fiddler. Deserves what he gets as does that scum bag mother!

As for the Mother, no doubt she will be out in a few days, with a few bribes.

so far not to much said about the mom getting big sentence, kind of blows a few people out of the water who say Thais get off lite

Good to see some decent sentencing for such an indecent act, I feel sorry for the girls, no child should be forced into that situation, I personally think the mother should have sentenced for the term of her natural life with no chance for parole, ever.

Really wonderful parenting by TIM, anything for the baht, shame, shame, shame to all involved in this horrendous act of child slavery at it's finest.

I hope they splash this on every nasty newspaper website, and every major TV news broadcaster around the world, so scum like this finally get the picture of what they are doing is wrong

Meanwhile all the big child traffickers carry on as usual, like in the drug trade. Abuse of minors is far far worse than drug trafficking (arguably a public service), but they share the same punishment syndrome in Thailand: the little people get banged up and the big ones never get touched.

I think they got of very light.

I would support much harsher penalties.

42 years for a 50-yo mother. long sentence but appropriate. hopefully she will come to terms with her bad karma so she can face the hell she'll be in during the next life. its going to be quite a few centuries for her to make up for that one. you would think a Thai mother could see the wrong in it.

as for the farang, yea, that's pretty bad to be banging children. he'll only spend 5 years in a Thai klink, which should be enough time to get quite a lot of objects stuffed up his arse.

There has been alot of talk about punishment recently i think these sentences should be for the drug traffickers and the death penalties for such cases as the ones in OP

Tragic story, but good to see that these sick people actually get punished. Hope that the Thai system will take good care of the girls and ensure a safe future!

Lovely but could of been harsher!!! The rest of the world could take note of this!!! Dosent happen very often well actually hardly ever but for once they haven't made themselves look dumb and stupid have created a war that could blow this place to bits!!? !!

Might just be me, but surely this type of crime should incur the death penalty, rather than the crime of possession of Heroin and the like.

Back in my good old days In England I would get a phone call from a chief constable with information on the paedophiles that would get of because of some technicality in the court cases and they are 100% guilty.

Well me and some underground buddies would pick these guys up and have fun with them for two or three days and depending on how bad these people are they couldn't ever do anything wrong or harm children again!!!
