Does anyone have any more information on the two kilings (one a policeman) in a bar in Chaweng last Friday?

My husband saw it in the Thai newspaper. Only the policeman died. He heard a farang got winged in the leg by a stray bullet tho.

Apparently the shooter was a "Chao Mui" (native Samuiite) recently out of jail. He was caught yesterday.

It was in Solo Bar. A few people I know saw the whole thing. Appparently the shooter, as has been stated, was recently out of jail and was celebrating by waving his gun around. An off duty policeman told him to put it away. The guy took exception to this and promptly shot him. Charming chap.

Yep, same story as I heard. Apparently he is part of the Samui mafia family. Lovely bunch im sure.

I was stood around 10 meters away and I thought it was fire crackers

going off until I noticed everyone legging it out of Solo, beleieve me, the thai

police man was not a pretty sight. This is so sad because my wife told me yesterday that his wife is expecting his baby...2 months to go.

I also heard he was under investigation by the police for the murder of a farang

on the island some time back. Yesterday he was caught in koh phang nga (spelling).

I wonder how long Solo will remain open.

Santa Fe and Full Circle have been closed for above mentioned reasons, is there too much money being made in Solo that the powers that are close an eye?

I think there is alot of money to be lost!

Do they not search you at the gate in solo? or is the search just a half-hearted pat on the legs.

Im sure I remember being searched the last time as I knew the guy on the gate from the London Inn near Mango.

Either way its a bit worrying.

As far as I know they usually do search everyone on the way in but my mate said they were not doing it that night and had cleared the barriers etc.

Never been in there myself - have no plans to now !

Been there 3 time last year , 2 guys at the gate, never searched me. They searched some Thais though.

They caught him ,he stepped over the line this time even his buddies can't help him on this one.I wonder why the police took him alive?Must have been witnesses.
