Man armed with Gas Cylinder threatens to destroy his Mother’s North Pattaya restaurant

PATTAYA:--A 28 year old man threatened to set fire to his mother’s shop-house after she refused to pass-on a telephone number given to her by one of his friends.

The bizarre incident occurred at a restaurant in Soi 14 off the Naklua Road, owned by Khun Ladar aged 47. She had reportedly refused to give her son, Khun Chanoo, the telephone number which caused him to become enraged and he ended up barricading himself on the 2nd floor and took a 15kg Gas container with him which he used to start a small fire with the promise of starting a larger fire.

Police and Fire Rescue Units arrived and after 30 minutes Khun Chanoo was persuaded to come down and apologized to his Mother for his actions who did not want to take the matter any further.
