Pakistani alleged to have stolen money from Indian at Central Pattaya Supermarket

PATTAYA:--A Pakistani Tourist was arrested at the Big C Extra store in Central Pattaya on Friday evening,

accused of stealing money from an Indian tourist who had just left a Foreign Exchange booth.

Mr. Farhat Hussein aged 52 was spotted by Security Guards at Big C Extra, running away from the victim of the alleged crime, Mr. Dhananjaya Kodavalaru aged 56 from India. Eventually Mr. Hussein was stopped and detained until Police arrived. He was holding 30,000 Baht in cash and inside his pocket was a 100 US Dollar bill. Mr. Kodavalaru claimed Mr. Hussein approached him and was holding the US Dollar Bill and asked if he would change it for Thai Currency.

Mr. Hussein reportedly asked if he could see some Thai currency as he was new to Thailand and had never seen a 500 Baht bill. Mr. Kodavalaru took out his wallet which was full of Thai currency and in a split second Mr. Hussein is accused of snatching the wallet and attempting to make-good his escape.
