I need to buy 8-1/2 x 11 (not A4) stationery quality pre-cut paper. Where can I find it? -- Office Depot, maybe or the Central Festival Mall.

A4 paper is 210mm x 297mm (8.27in x 11.69in). Sure you can cut the height, but you can't widen it to make it 8.5in x 11in.

I'm puzzled why you would need it. A4 paper is the standard size in Asia and Europe. You can print downloaded 8.5in x 11in documents so that they are re-sized to fit on A4 size. These re-sized documents are now accepted in the US by government agencies. I don't know about the UK, but I imagine it would be the same as it's an International standard.

When I need just a few sheets I cut down F14 paper 8.5"x14" (legal size) one can find everywhere in Thailand.

I am sure I have seen both letter and legal US sizes here. Suggest you check out the usual suspects: Silpaban on Pattaya Klang, Friendship 2nd floor in Pattaya Tai or even the big supermarkets.

I think UK use A4 like the rest of the world outside USA.

A4 is longer but narrower than 8 1/2 X 11.
