Any farang who happens to read that might end getting squeezed by the money hungry bar girls, but please let it be known that under no circumstances should you pay sin sod for divorced or bar girls. The Thais never do this, and the only reason you are being manipulated into it is because they want your cash.

Dont get me wrong. The women are often required to support their parents (and kids), so if she stops working helping out her will go a long way so she can send money back home. Theres no need to splash hundreds of thousands of baht or even more for sin sod or sending (like a half dozen other of her boyfriends) money to a bar girl in Pattaya/BKK/Phuket who supposedly stops working.

Getting married in the West without a prenupt is a just recipe for disaster. This sub-forums latter part is divorce. The irony.
