I am sure all of this makes sense in your small little mind and even smaller heart but i can not manage to cull anything positive, constructive, useful, sensible, logical or reasonable from anything you have posted in this thread which begs the question: just what are you on??? deejah
actually and come to think of it you can still find an issan meal for a measly ten baht, if you can not appreciate the power of the baht and the VALUE here then you have probably consume more than you need, are spoiled and dont appreciate all you have and you need and waste a lot too, rant over for now perhaps more later Edited April 28, 2012 by deejah

Naam
are those pills the good doctor prescribed now more than 10 Baht and therefore out of reach?
12DrinkMore
I see from this discourse that Deejah either writes increasingly longer lines, but not sentences, or he posts with diminishing length. I just wonder if this is significant or shows an artistic tendency which to be honest, I do find quite funny And to answer the original poster. Most of my money has moved East with me, although the Swiss are taking good care of a few CHF and a lump of AU. deejah
PILL an unpleasant person, or a person who is difficult to deal with. See more words with the same meaning: uncool person, jerk, asshol_e (general insults - list of).
deejah
I have never used the ignore function but I can see how it might really come in handy. Back to the OP's (whomever that may be) topic and the dreaded 10 baht issue, Where else on this good earth can you get a decent meal for about 33 cents US? Back to the OP's (whomever that may be) topic and the dreaded 10 baht issue, Where else on this good earth can you get a decent meal for about 33 cents US? No idea, not in Thailand or any country I have recently visited. 10 Baht for a decent meal? No, sorry, if I drive a few kilometers I can pay maybe 30 Baht for a "Khao Man Gai" including soup. But that exceeds your budget by 200%, and with the high price of fuel will add 50 Baht or so to the cost. I do appreciate your point that Thailand offers very good value for money. But you are taking it to the extreme.
Naam
i wouldn't let anybody who eats "decent" meals which cost 10 Baht touch my dogs. reason: that "anybody" must be also saving on showers because water and soap are expensive
55Jay
Perhaps contrast between those who have decades of previous work/savings/investments and a continuing strategy against inflation and cost of living increases to deal with a 5 to 10 Baht fluctuation..... and those who are no so well positioned. Vast range of categories and interesting stories therein. Not forgetting those who may be well positioned but (as you do) take on local frugality for own purposes, then again, nobody likes to pay more if the same/similar is available for less, and nobody likes to be viewed as the dumb farang who pays more out of ignorance.
