I searched the forum and Googled the topic, but found no/conflicting answers, so I put this to the Oracles of Thailand - are bb pistols legal in Thailand? How about wrist rockets/sling shots? Thanks in advance people . . .

Considering they sell them openly BB guns or sometimes called "soft air-guns" are legal, traditional lead pellet air-guns/rifles are not.

THe other stuff ain't legal but let's face it. THey wouldn't sell them if people were getting searched.

ive had my pockets searched twice by the police in all the years ive been in thailand

once in the khao san rd area

another time in jatujak area

both were random searches and obviously looking for something small like drugs

i was quickly waved on through but thai persons were getting much thoroughtly searched

looked like everyone under 30 was getting a good searching so maybe they had a tip some drugs were going to moved
