Whats Your Thoughts On Bikie Gangs

Purely speculation on my part but I guess what the Oz police are looking at is breaking transport links for incoming drugs and weapons. In Oz a lot of the outlaw MC's have been taken over by "Middle Eastern" crime groups and wether this is linked to anti-terrorism/terrorism activities I don't know. There have always been Australian Federal Police in Thailand along with American law enforcement such as the DEA,CIA etc. It would be these bikers, many of whom don't ride bikes that the cops would be looking at.

It would be a waste of time and resources to look at guys riding bikes, doing their best to look mean whilst having a good time in Pattaya and doing charity bike rides for Thai orphanages.

Taken over by crime gangs?? Wherever that has come from its absolute rubbish. Have 2 mates back home that are both patched members of diff clubs both there takes on what's been happening are very similar. Yes the squeeze has been put on past few years but just makes them go to ground where they continue to do what they do to earn. My thoughts have always been the regular citizen will never have a issue with these clubs, people that are in the same circles they may have however they have chosen to live in that circle so dont play if not prepared to pay.

Interesting article in the Sydney Morning Herald today on why the Oz federal police may be getting interested in bikers in SE Asia. Read and decide for yourself.

Bikies are quite weak....they need each other for emotional support.

and for that enlightenment we the people thank you... did you come up with this all by yourself or did someone help you

No help needed...I'm quite independent....no need for a gang for me.

Yes I thought you must have come up with it all by your lonesome... pity you didn't have at least one friend you could muster.. he may have counselled about making wild generalisations but if your happy with your statement so be it.. back to your bar chair over in the corner then ?

The only Criminal Biker gangs here in Thailand are all Thai's.

Not true. Maybe read up on the Western bike gangs running "protection" rackets in Koh Samui a few years ago. There are Western outlaw biker gangs here, but they mostly keep a low profile.

I have been President and founder of a MC here in Thailand for over 9 years now. Just a charity and fun MC really. Thai's and farangs.

The Hells Angels tried to move into Phuket and Samui several years ago. They lasted 3 months.

The Outlaws MC opened a club house in Bkk not to long ago. They lasted 4 weeks.

Both of these MC's are well known world wide as 1%'s and are known to be involved in prostitution, drugs etc. When they tried that here they were soon shut down by the Thai's and were smart enough to follow orders and not be beaten on.

Like I said, the only MC's here running ilegal activities are Thai MC's and they are far and few between also. Mostly in Phuket.

In Thailand anyone can go to a leather store and have a set of colours made up and nobody cares or says anything. Back home you cannot do this as you know or you would be in huge trouble.

Hmm last I saw before I went to work was 15 fully patched Outlaws in Nana. Lots there in the time since Feb. There is even a crossed pistions saloon in Bangkok now. Not sure if you live in Bangkok or not but seems like there are lots of Outlaws MC guys there....

Apparently they own/bought a bar in soi 4, not the main entertainment complex, but up the road a tad.

If I park my bicycle out front and wander in for a lemon squash in my lycra, would I be welcomed ?

I would think so. This is Thailand. Wear what you want. I hear rumor there will be a beer pong table in teh bar as well. I must say Beer pong is fun as! And if I recall there are a ton of Property of Outlaws stickers in lots of the complex's bars /shrug

The HA are in Phuket as we speak and the Banditos have chapters in Pattaya, Bangkok, Kapeangpet (spelling) just to name a few. Thai's are certainly not the only "Bikers" as you call them that are involved in criminal acts and to say that they are is just plain wrong. Please don't give people here the impression you know what your talking about, as you clearly do not.

Police on Phuket have been warned to be wary of Bandidos bikie gang members who have been spotted on the island making visits from Pattaya and Samui.

Although many members of the Bandidos and other motorcycle gangs simply enjoy riding their vehicles, some Bandidos members have a reputation for violence and criminal activities and the gang stretches from Australia to Europe and the US.

The Deputy Superintendent of Kathu Police Station, Colonel Akanit Danpitak, told Phuketwan today that the Bandidos had caused trouble in the past and police were wary about them.

''We know in the past they have set themselves up in businesses in other parts of Thailand and the outcomes have not always been positive,'' he said.

''They tend to come into conflict eventually with other gangs and with legitimate business rivals.''

At least one Australian state has recently opted to introduce legislation designed to more closely control the activities of so-called bikie gangs.

The introduction of the legislation, opposed by civil rights activists who say the laws can be misused, follows a series of murders and violent activities, often committed in public.

The Bandidos are seen as rivals to the Hells Angels virtually everywhere, prompting a heading in an Australian newspaper earlier this month: ''Bikies waging a worldwide war.''

Fancy leather jackets, though, are not always an indication of evil intent. The Phuket riders who take part in Bike Week on Phuket each year, centring on Patong, are careful to make the distinction that those who attend are bikers, not bikies.

Fair enough. But I don't see any issues with any of them. But hey it depends on what you like.

Do the HA's or the Bandaids have a gay chapter ?

Hmm I am not sure but it might be a good idea to go ask one or their members. Maybe they will let you join if they do wink.png

Kissing a ladyboy does not make a gay.

No but it does raise the question!

I would say Outlaws are pretty visible around Nana ? also heard that they are buying up bars in the plaza, 3-4 already ? saw them on several occasions in "full force" with bodyguards marching around the plaza.

The Outlaw biker gang members had bodyguards?

Even if it was raised, which I'm not saying it did or did not, that does not make a gay because she did not look gay.

Yeah, about 5 foot 2 and dark skin.

Tough them guys.

So boiler rooms own half on Nana and bikies taking up the other half, not much incentive to go there anymore really.

Or did the bikers, as opposed to bikies, take up all the ladyboy bars ?

You get 1 picture of an HA in Phuket and I will believe you. If not you are just a talker.

So you are personally saying the the clubs you mentioned ARE into illegal activities?

Careful mate.

I have no need to prove anything to you or anyone else. Also, don't worry about me being careful "mate", I've been doing just fine here for 21 years without your concern. No reply needed as it will not be read.....see ya!

Interesting discussion...let me contribute a few bits - I've written a couple of books about bikers/bikies - first up bikies tends to be the term favoured in Australia and bikers used in Nth America and Europe. The point is that irrespective of the name, the clubs with illegal activities are the 'outlaw motorcycle clubs' or '1%' clubs like the Hells Angels, Bandidos and so on.....not to be confused with blokes who just like getting together/riding/socialising etc. The outlaw clubs are simply bad news and while all members may not be involved in criminal acts, a large chunk are. They're the largest suppliers of amphetamines in Australia, and globally involved in drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, fraud, human trafficking, extortion etc etc etc. When the Angles and Bandidos fought in Scandinavia for dominance around 16 people died - the Bandidos used an RPG to attack a clubhouse plus the usual bombs, shootings and beatings. In Quebec the war between the Angels and the Rock Machine killed around 116 people including some innocent bystanders. Have a look at some of releases by Europol or some of the articles written on the Quebec war. The outlaws are also very slick at PR.

Thailand, and in particular Pattaya was where quite a few of the Bandidos who survived the war in Scandinavia came to spend some time - they're also supported by their colleagues in Australia - I'd be very apprehensive about what the 1% were up to in Thailand...or maybe they've just been seduced by the ambience...

So are the bikies into lady boys or ambience? Do they prefer Fino's or Scoopy's?
